Integrated Petroleum Affairs System shortlisted for the 2010 eGovernment Awards

Dublin 23 December 2009

The Department is delighted to announce that Integrated Petroleum Affairs System (IPAS) has recently been shortlisted for the 2010 eGovernment Awards. IPAS Internet is a new website that allows visitors to explore technical data (wells, seismic, gravity and magnetic) relating to petroleum exploration and production held by the Dept’s Petroleum Affairs Division (PAD)

These awards, now in their 8th year, are the recognised benchmark for excellence in Irish eGovernment services and standards. The Awards raise awareness and recognise the innovators, developers, forward thinkers and experts who are pioneering the changes happening in how the Irish Government delivers services to its citizens.

IPAS has been nominated in the Central eGovernment Award category. This prize is awarded to the ICT initiative that has succeeded in clearly delivering better services, information and efficiencies to its customers and those who work within the organisation.

The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, 18 February 2010.
