The Loughs Agency of the Foyle Carlingford and Irish Lights Commission 
is a North-South Body which was established under the British-Irish Agreement Act 1999 and is responsible for the management conservation, protection, improvement and development of the inland fisheries in the Foyle and Carlingford areas; promotion of the development of Lough Foyle and Carlingford Lough for commercial and recreational purposes in respect of marine, fishery, aquaculture marine tourism matters.
The Agency operates undr the co-sponsorship of the Department of Communications Energy and Natural Resources and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Northern Ireland
