Shannon Fisheries Region No 8 or Limerick District (River Smearlagh and River Glashoreag) By-law No C.S. 300, 2008 
Thie Bye-law prohibits angling for any type of fish in the waters of the River Smearlagh and River Glashoreag with effect from 4 September 2008 to the end of the season.
South Western Fisheries Region No. 7 or Kerry District Conservation of Salmon and Sea Trout Bye-law No. 844, 2008 
This Bye-law prohibits fishing for salmon and sea trout by means of a draft net and rod and line in the waters specified in the Bye-law.
Shannon Fisheries No 8 or Limerick District Bye-law No 843, 2008 
This Bye-law extends the commercial (draft net) season for salmon or trout in the River Feale to 15th August 2008.
Western Fisheries Region Angling Bye-law No. 842, 2008. 
This Bye-law prohibits angling with any lure other than artificial fly in the Maam River, Bealnabrack River, Joyce’s River and the River Failmore effective from 1 September to the end of the season.
Western Fisheries Region River Clare Bye-law no. 841, 2008. 
This Bye-law prohibits angling with any lure other than artificial fly in that part of the River Clare specified in the Bye-law.
Western Fisheries Region Conservation of Trout Bye-law No. 840, 2008. 
This Bye-law provides for a daily bag limit of 4 trout of which not more than 1 trout is greater than 10 lbs (4.54 kgs), and prohibits - (a) the taking of trout less than 13 inches (33 cm), (b) the use of more than 1 rod or 4 artificial flies when fly fishing, (c) the use of more than 1 rod when dapping, (d) the use of more than 2 rods or 4 artificial flies per rod when trolling, (e) the use of more than 2 rods when bait fishing or spinning, and (f) the having on board a boat more than 3 rods when more than 1 person is bait fishing, spinning or trolling.
Western Fisheries Region River Cong and Cong Canal (Trout Angling) Bye-law No. C.S. 299, 2008.
This Bye-law prohibits angling for trout in the River Cong and Cong Canal during the period 1 September each year to 16 March in the following year (both dates inclusive).
Western Fisheries Region Rivers Finney, Cong and Cong Canal Bye-law No. C.S. 298, 2008. 
This Bye-law prohibits angling in the River Cong, Cong Canal and River Finney during the period commencing on 1 September each year and ending on 14 February in the following year in respect of the River Cong, Cong Canal and ending on the last day of February in the following year in respect of the River Finney.
Conservation of Eel Fishing (Restriction on Issue of Licences) Byelaw No 838, 2008 
This Bye-law caps the number of eel fishing licences which may be issued in each Fishery District in 2008 or any year thereafter.
Conservation of Eel Fishing (Annual Close Season) Byelaw No 297, 2008 
This Bye-law prohibits the taking or fishing for brown eel under 30cm in length. The Bye-law also provides for a close season for brown eel, from 1 September to 31 May of the following year. The Bye-law also provides for a close season for silver eel from 1 January to 30 September in any year.
South Western Fisheries Region Conservation of Salmon and Sea Trout Byelaw No. 839, 2008.
This Bye-law prohibits fishing for salmon and sea trout by means of a draft net and rod and line in the waters specified in the Bye-law.
Salmon and Trout Conservation (Draft Nets) Byelaw No. 837, 2008. 
This Bye-Law sets out the opening and closing dates (and hours) for the draft net salmon and trout (salmon includes sea trout as defined in the Fisheries Consolidation Act 1959) commercial fishing season and prohibits draft net fishing for (salmon and trout) in all districts other than those rivers mentioned in the schedule. The Bye Law also prohibits the use of monofilament material in draft nets with the exception of Cork Harbour where monofilament material in draft nets is permitted
Salmon and Trout Conservation (Drift Nets, Snap Nets and Other Engins) Byelaw No. 836, 2008. 
This Bye-Law prohibits drift Net, Snap Net and Other Engine fishing for salmon and trout (salmon includes sea trout as defined in the Fisheries Consolidation Act 1959) in all fishery districts. The Bye Law also prohibits having on board a boat or vehicle these nets with the intention of fishing for salmon or trout.
Conservation of Salmon & Sea Trout (River Bandon) Byelaw No. 835, 2008. 
This Bye-Law provides for catch and release in respect of Salmon and Sea Trout (over 40 cm) and prohibits the use on any fish hooks other than single barbless hooks or worms as bait in angling for salmon and sea trout (over 40 cm) in the River Bandon during the period 14 March to 11 May. The Byelaw also incorporates the provisions of the existing annual bag limit of 10 fish and the daily bag limits of 3 fish and 1 fish during the periods 12 May to 31 August and 1 September to the end of the season respectively. The Bye-law also provides for the use of single hooks and prohibits the use of worms as bait in angling for salmon and sea trout over 40 cm or once the specified number of fish have been caught in the specified periods.
Conservation of Sea Trout Bye-law No. 834, 2008. 
This Bye-law prohibits the retention and possession of sea trout taken in the fishery districts specified in the Bye-law.
Eastern Fisheries Region - (River Slaney ) (Angling) Bye-law No.C.S. 296, 2008. 
This Bye-law provides that the annual close season for angling for salmon and trout in the River Slaney and its tributaries shall be extended from 26 February, 2008 to 9 March, 2008 both dates inclusive.
Conservation of Salmon & Sea Trout Bye-law No. 833, 2008. 
The Bye-law provides for catch and release in respect of salmon and sea trout (over 40 cm) in the portion of the Lower Shannon from O’ Briens Bridge downstream on the downstream face of the bridge, to Thomond Bridge. The Bye-law also prohibits the use of worms as bait and any fish hooks other than single barbless hooks in angling for salmon and trout in those waters.
North Western Fisheries Region - River Deel Bye-law No.C.S. 295, 2008. 
This Bye-law provides that the annual close season in angling for any kind of fish commences on 1 September in any year and ends on 31 May in the following year and prohibits the use of any prawn, shrimp or any other crustacean as bait in the River Deel. The Bye-law comes into effect on 1 February 2008 and ceases to have effect on 1 June 2011

This Bye-law provides for catch and release in respect of salmon and sea trout and provides for the use of single hooks and prohibits the use of worms as bait in angling for salmon and sea trout in the River Slaney.
Conservation of Salmon and Sea Trout Bye-law No. C.S. 294, 2007).
This Bye-law prohibits the taking or attempting to take by rod and line salmon and sea trout in the River Liffey.
Conservation of Salmon and Sea Trout Bye-law No. C.S. 293, 2007.
This Bye-law prohibits the taking or attempting to take by rod and line salmon and sea trout over 40 cm in the rivers specified in the Bye-law
Conservation of Salmon and Sea Trout Bye-law No. 831, 2007. 
This Bye-Law provides for catch and release in respect of Salmon and Sea Trout (over 40 cm) in the Newport River (Lough Beltra) and Garavogue River (Lough Gill and River Bonnet) during the period 1 January to 11 May in order to protect spring fish as identified by the SSC. The Byelaw also incorporates the provisions of the existing annual bag limit of 10 fish and the daily bag limits of 3 fish and 1 fish during the periods 12 May to 31 August and 1 September to the end of the season respectively. The Bye-law also provides for the use of single hooks and prohibits the use of worms as bait in angling for salmon and sea trout over 40 cm or once the specified number of fish have been caught in the specified periods.

This Bye-law provides for catch and release in respect of salmon and sea trout (over 40 cm) in the rivers mentioned in the Bye-law. The Byelaw also provides for the use of single hooks and prohibits the use of worms as bait in angling for salmon and sea trout over 40 cm.
Conservation of Salmon and Sea Trout Bye-law No. 829, 2007.
This Bye-Law provides for an annual bag limit of 10 fish being either salmon or sea trout (over 40 cm) per angler for the 2008 season and provides for a season bag limit of 3 fish in the period 1 Jan to 11 May, a daily bag limit of 3 fish from 12 May to 31 August and a daily bag limit of 1 fish from 1 September to the end of the season. The Bye-law also provides for the use of single hooks and prohibits the use of worms as bait once the specified number of fish have been caught in the specified periods.
North Western Fisheries Region - Lough Conn and Lough Cullin (Brown Trout Angling) Bye-law No. C.S. 291, 2007.
This Bye-law prohibits angling for brown trout in Lough Conn and Lough Cullin during the period 1 October each year to 14 February in the following year (both dates inclusive) effective from 1 January 2008.
North Western Fisheries Region - Lough Conn and Lough Cullin (Conservation of Brown Trout) Bye-law No. 827, 2007 
This Bye-law prescribes at 30.48 cm (12 inches) the minimum size of brown trout which may be taken in Lough Conn and Lough Cullin effective from 1 January 2008.
North Western Fisheries Region (No. 11 or Ballina District) (River Deel) (Prohibition on Angling) Bye-law No. C.S. 292, 2007.
This Bye-law provides that the annual close season in angling for any kind of fish commences in the year 2007 on 1 September on the River Deel.
South Western Fisheries Region (River Bandon) Conservation of Sea Trout and Brown Trout Bye-law No. 828, 2007. 
Prohibits the taking and possession of brown trout and sea trout less than 25 centimetres in length, and provides for a daily bag limit of 4 trout, being either brown trout or sea trout (sea trout less than 40 centimetres in length) or a combination of both in the river Bandon.
Eastern Fisheries Region (Angling) - Bye-law No. 824, 2007 
This Bye-law prohibits the use of any fish hooks, other than single barbless hooks, and the use of worms as bait in angling for all species of fish in the waters specified in the Bye-law.
The Shannon Fisheries Region Angling Bye-law No. 825, 2007 
Prohibits angling from a boat for all species of fish during the period 1 March to 30 September in that section of the Lower Shannon as specified in the Bye-law and revokes the Shannon Fisheries Region (Prohibition on Angling) Bye-law No. C.S. 289, 2007.
Conservation of Brown Trout Bye-law No. 823, 2007 
Prescribes at 25.5cm the minimum size of brown trout which may be taken in the River Sullane and provided for a daily bag limit of 4 brown trout per angler.

Sets out the opening and closing dates (and hours) for the draft net salmon and trout (salmon includes sea trout as defined in the Fisheries Consolidation Act 1959) commercial fishing season and prohibits draft net fishing for (salmon and sea trout) in all districts other than those rivers mentioned in schedule 8 of the Wild Salmon and Sea Trout Tagging Scheme Regulation (S.I. No. 672, 2006). The Bye Law also prohibits the use of monofilament material in draft nets with the exception of Cork Harbour where monofilament material in draft nets is permitted.
Conservation of Salmon and Sea Trout Bye-law No. 820, 2007
Prohibits the use of any fish hooks other than single barbless hooks and imposes a ban on the use of worms as bait in angling for salmon and sea trout over 40 cm once the annual bag limit has been reached. The Bye-law also incorporates the provisions of the existing bag limit Bye-law No. 814, 2006.
Conservation of Salmon and Sea Trout Bye-law No. 818, 2007
Provides for catch and release in respect of salmon and sea trout (over 40 cm) in the portion of the Lower Shannon from O’ Briens Bridge downstream to the Blackbridge. The Bye-law also prohibits the use of fish hooks other than barbless hooks and worms as bait.
Conservation of Salmon and Sea Trout Bye-law No.C.S 290, 2007
Prohibits the taking or attempting to take by rod and line salmon and sea trout over 40 cm. The Bye-law also provides for the closure of the river Black Water in Waterford and incorporates the provisions of the existing close rivers Bye-law No. C.S. 287, 2006.
Shannon Fisheries Region Conservation of Salmon and Trout Byelaw No 817, 2007 
Prescribes the minimum size of trout that may be taken from a portion of Lough Derg and prohibits angling for trout during the period 1 October each year to 14 March in the next following year. The Byelaw also incorporates the provisions of the Limerick District Byelaw Nos 614, 1980 and 488, 1954.

No 816 2007
Provides for among other things in the River Feale a season bag limit of 4 fish being either salmon or sea trout over 40 cm from 1 March to 12 May subject to a daily bag limit of 1 fish during the period.
Shannon Fisheries Region Prohibition of Angling with Rod and Line Byelaw No CS 289 2007 
Prohibits angling for all species of fish during the period 1 March to 30 September each year in that section of the Lower Shannon as specified in the Byelaw.

Western Fisheries Region Dawros Kylemore River Byelaw No 812 2006
Prohibits angling with any lure other than artificial fly in that part of the Dawros Kylemore River as specified in the Byelaw.
South Western Fisheries Region River Lee Byelaw No 811 2006 
Prohibits the use of any fish hooks other than single barbless hooks in angling for fish with rod and line in each year from 30 April to 30 September in angling for salmon and sea trout and 12 October in angling for trout in that part of the River Lee as specified in the Byelaw.
South Western Fisheries Region Prohibition of the use of Prawns Shrimp and other Crustacea Byelaw No 810 2006 
Prohibits the use of any prawns shrimp or other crustacea as bait to angle or take fish with rod and line during the month of September each year in the South Western Fisheries Region with the exception of that part of the River Lee as specified in the Byelaw.
Conservation of Pike Byelaw No 809 2006
Provides for among other conservation measures a bag limit of 1 pike in any one day, prohibits the killing of any pike greater than 50 cm in length, prohibits the possession by any person of more than 1 whole pike less than 50cm or more than 0.75 kgs of pike flesh and prohibits the possession of more than 12 coarse fish for use as bait subject to conditions. This Byelaw also revokes the Conservation of Pike Byelaw No. 805, 2006.
CONSERVATION OF SALMON AND SEA TROUT AMENDMENT BYELAW NO. 808 2006 
This Bye-law which provides for an amendment to the Conservation of Salmon and Sea Trout Bye-law No. 803, 2006, prohibits in respect of all sea trout (irrespective of size) the use of any fish hooks other than single barbless hooks and imposes a ban on the use of worms as bait.
Conservation of and Prohibition on Sale of Coarse Fish Byelaw No 806 2006 
Provides for among other conservation measures a bag limit of 4 coarse fish in any 1 day, prohibits the killing of any coarse fish greater than 25 cm in length and prohibits the sale of any coarse fish in Ireland (excl NI) this provision does not apply to fishing tacke dealers and fish bait suppliers who have been granted an excemption from their respective regional fisheries boards.
Conservation of Pike Byelaw No 805 2006 
Provides for among other conservation measures a bag limit of 1 pike in any one day, prohibits the killing of any pike greater than 50 cm in length, prohibits the possession by any person of more than 1 whole pike greater than 50cm or more than 1.5 kgs of pike flesh and prohibits the possession of more than 12 fish for use as bait subject to conditions.
