Statutory Notices
under the
Minerals Development Acts, 1940 to 1999

The Minerals Development Acts, 1940 to 1999 require the Minister to give notice of :

• his intention to grant or renew a Prospecting Licence under the Minerals Development Act, 1940 for minerals exploration;
• his intention to grant a State Mining Facility under the Minerals Development Act, 1979  in respect of privately owned minerals;
• the granting of a State Mining Facility under the Minerals Development Act, 1979  indicating the right of any person entitled to an estate or interest in the minerals to claim compensation.
