Accelerated Capital Allowances for energy efficient equipment
Section 46 of the Finance Act 2008 provides that companies may claim 100% of the capital cost of certain energy efficient plant and machinery against corporation tax in year of purchase. The purpose of the ACA scheme is to encourage businesses to purchase plant and machinery that is highly energy efficient and thus make significant savings on energy costs and reduce carbon emissions. Further details are available at Accelerated Capital Allowance.

Support for Exemplar Energy Efficiency Projects - SEEEP
A limited amount of grant support was available from SEI for both public and private sector bodies which undertake projects that achieve significant energy savings and create demand for labour-intensive services during implementation in 2009. However, due to the unprecedented demand, the programme is now closed to new applications.

More information is available at Support for Exemplar Energy Efficiency Projects
