Electricity Corporate Division
The Division's primary function is to ensure representation of the State as shareholder in EirGrid and ESB including, in particular, the corporate governance role and the facilitation of both companies' further growth and development in a liberalised electricity market.

- Monitor roll-out of EirGrid and ESB networks modernisation programme.

Farm Electrification Grant Schemes for Disadvantaged Areas
This Scheme subsidises the installation of electricity supply to farms located in disadvantaged areas, which are without supply or where supply is inadequate to facilitate their development and modernisation.
The Scheme is run by the Department of Community, Equality & Gaeltacht Affairs.
