Electricity Corporate Division
The Division's primary function is to ensure representation of the State as shareholder in ESB including, in particular, the corporate governance role and the facilitation of the Company's further growth and development in a liberalised electricity market.
Key Functions:
- Effective corporate governance of ESB in accordance with Department of Finance Guidelines

- Monitor roll-out of ESB's networks modernisation programme.
- Assessment of proposals relating to national and international investment projects by ESB.

Farm Electrification Grant Schemes for Disadvantaged Areas
This Scheme subsidises the installation of electricity supply to farms located in disadvantaged areas, which are without supply or where supply is inadequate to facilitate their development and modernisation.
