Government Services Outlets

This report was prepared for the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources by Fitzpatrick Associates.

The overall purpose of the study was to establish the need for development of a new locally based network of public information services centres Government Services Outlets (GSOs). The GSO concept arose from the Report of the Inter-Departmental Post Office Working Group, which examined the options for the future of the post office network, and the implications of rationalising the rural post office.
