Digital Hub
The Digital Hub is Irelands flagship project in the digital media sector. The Digital Hub was set up to support the development of the digital media enterprises that can move the economy up the technological value chain.
The Hub, located in the Thomas Street area of Dublin, provides state-of-the-art start up facilitates for early stage, fast growth companies and established companies in the digital industry. In this regard the Hub works with Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland, and other third-level institutions. It was initiated in response to recommendations from a number of bodies including, the Information Society Commission Advisory Group on the Content Industry; Irish Council for Technology, Science & Innovation in their report Technology Foresight (1999); Enterprise Ireland in their report on growth potential in high-tech internationally traded services ITS 2007 (2000)
The Digital Hub also includes a learning/training component particularly geared to the local community.
